Illustrator J. Wecker Frisch lives near Saint Louis, Missouri. She received early training from artist father John F. Wecker and formal training later in commercial art. Janet’s work combines imaginary and realism in fine detail, resulting in a much loved classic style all her own. Strongly influenced by vintage illustration, people and nature repeatedly appear as Janet’s favorite subjects. Janet has enjoyed licensing her art. Among the products are fabric, embroidery design, dinnerware, wall covering, woven throws & pillows, gift bags, stationary, flags, tempered glass and puzzles. The artistic talents of Loralie Harris were evident early in her childhood and were encouraged by her mother and grandmother. In college she studied costume and fashion design, after college she opened her own boutique where she sold her one-of-a-kind creations. Loralie is a four-time recipient of the prestigious DEBI (Distinctive Excellence in the Bridal Industry) Award in the category of prom. Her designs have been featured in Seventeen, Teen Prom, Your Prom, YM and Elle Girl.
Loralie’s current fabric collections and characters were born from her dress sketches on a hotel notepad. Tucking one of her little ladies in her Daytimer, she realized that every time she opened her notebook she got a little lift from the whimsical face smiling back at her. Loralie Designs was born.
