|  | Currently, Bethany Berndt Shackelford works from home as a surface designer. Products with her licensed art can be found in 10,000 stores across the country including Target, Lowe’s, Borders Books and HomeGoods.
She won two Emmys for her computer graphics work at NBC for on-air news/promotion graphics and a third Emmy for work on the Star Trek series Deep Space Nine. Her experience in animation and in computer-aided arts and design has led to work on commercials and the Oscar-winning special effects team for the film Independence Day.
At her company Pingorama, Shackelford and partners designed and manufactured kids' clothes that were sold in over 900 stores in the U.S. and Japan.
In addition to working at home, she spends time with her children, Tatum and Teaghan, which she says "is the best job yet." Learn More >> |

| |  | Desiree Habicht is the creative energy behind Desiree’s Designs. She began designing and painting murals over 30 years ago for the interior design industry. Known for her distinct style and whimsical, animated faces Desiree’s artwork helped to transform rooms into enchanted places. Desiree works in many media including watercolors, pastels, colored pencils, mixed media and fabrics. Desiree was introduced to quilting in 2001 when a family tragedy forced her to stay home to care for her daughter. She began using her artistic energy to design quilt patterns and art quilts, many which were based on murals that she had painted. Desiree’s art quilts have won national and international awards and her quilt patterns are sold worldwide. Her baby quilts are well known and she is also the force behind “Lil Miss Cutie Patootie”. Many of Desiree’s creative images are licensed and appear, not only on fabric, but on products such as ceramic tiles, wall art, ornaments, Christmas tins, bookmarks, cards and mugs. | |  | Illustrator J. Wecker Frisch lives near Saint Louis, Missouri. She received early training from artist father John F. Wecker and formal training later in commercial art. Janet’s work combines imaginary and realism in fine detail, resulting in a much loved classic style all her own. Strongly influenced by vintage illustration, people and nature repeatedly appear as Janet’s favorite subjects. Janet has enjoyed licensing her art.
