Currier and Ives

Nathaniel Currier and James Merritt Ives specialized in publishing 19th Century American Art (hand colored prints) that were sold inexpensively. They produced over one million of the most popular historical American prints from 1835 to 1907. Today Currier and Ives is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to preserving, cataloging and providing education about its historic American lithographs.
