Virginia Quilt Museum - Standiford Star

This unique collection of reproduction designs is from a Star Quilt made in 1860 during the start of the Civil War. The quilt is named after its designer Mary Louisa Standiford and is on display at the Virginia Quilt Museum. Mary Louisa died in childbirth and her daughter passed the quilt down through family until it was donated to the museum's permanent collection in 1999.
